wb surf

my life in wrightsville beach, starting today

Blacks is generally considered one of SoCal's best beach breaks.  It's a mile-long walk down a canyon road or a steep descent from the cliffs at the Torrey Pines Gliderport to get there, but it's worth the effort.  I surfed it in crap conditions on a mini-Simmons shape that I never really got dialed-in.   Still, finally getting to see a surf spot I'd seen pics of and dreamed about for a few decades was cool.  Cool.  Pics by Pamella.

"What's the soup du jour?"
"That's the soup of the day."
"Umm, that sounds good.  I'll have that."
